Oath Tattoo Comparison

A quick scan of two different pages from my Molskine notebook where I write all my notes and doodles for my book.

In the book I am writing, there is a secret order of Knights who bear this marking on the inside of their right forearms.
There are 8 total points, each representing a certain attribute that a Knight of Nascentia must maintain in his soul:
-Faith
-Hope
-Virtue
-Patience
-Charity
-Humility
-Diligence
-Truth

The image on the left is the older, first version, the one on the right, the more simplified and updated version.
The little 'swirls' in the one on the right are optional, and I'm looking at the design of the bolder lines. Basically...just the style of 'star'.

So which one.....left or right? New or Old?
